Las Pinas City Mayor Suspends Government Work Due to Taal Emissions
After the suspension of face to face classes, Las PiƱas City Mayor Imelda Aguilar has also approved the suspension of government work today at 1:00 PM due to heightened sulfur dioxide emissions from the Taal Volcano.
However, agencies involved in delivering basic and health services, disaster preparedness and response, and other vital services will continue operations. This ensures that the public’s essential needs will be met even as precautionary measures are in place.
The public is strongly advised to wear face masks and limit outdoor activities, especially those in high-risk areas and are urged to stay vigilant and to follow official channels for accurate and timely information.
