Filipino Billiards Legend Efren “Bata” Reyes and company were warmly received by GAB Chairman Atty. Richard Clarin.

Dubbed as “The Magician” and “The G.O.A.T.” (Greatest of All Time), Efren Reyes was presented with the “Lifetime Achievement Award” by Chairman Clarin in honor and recognition of his exemplary performance in the various local and international professional billiard competitions.

His victories in prestigious tournaments have not only elevated Filipino professional billiard sports to the international levels of competition but have also brought inspiration to other professional Filipino athletes to quest for world-class quality games.

GAB Chairman Clarin has observed that billiards as professional sports is fast gaining traction while discussing measures to sustain professional billiards. It was suggested that pool tournaments be held in strategic locations in the country to bring the events closer to billiard enthusiasts. GAB Chairman Clarin stressed the need to come up with a standardized national ranking, Philippine-wide roster that would serve as pool of GAB in search for the “Best of the Best”. Atty. Richard Clarin also emphasized the integrity of official rankings to draw attention and support from potential sponsors.
