Angkas relaunches CDO operations
Temporarily halted due to pandemic, Angkas, one of the country’s most dependable and affordable motorcycle taxis, yesterday relaunched its services in Cagayan de Oro.
“We would like the people of CDO to know that we are back to serve them,” Angkas operations head David Medrana said.
According to Medrana, the Angkas motorcycle taxi services relaunch was held at Cove Garden Resort in CDO.
Angkas, Medrana said, aims to provide a safe, affordable, convenient ride and padala (parcel transport) services to the Filipino people anywhere in the country that our units could reach. Angkas intends to expand its operations nationwide.
He added that apart from providing responsible services, Angkas is also closely coordinating with concerned government agencies, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) in particular, in its effort to professionalize its riders by equipping them with necessary driving skills.
“One of the aspirations of Angkas is to give opportunities to around 18 million motorcycle owners in the country to have a decent source of living out of their two wheels for them to better support and provide for the needs of their respective families,” Medrana said.
On several occasions, Angkas has proven itself to be a reliable government partner not only in transportation but also in supporting its activities, including in its economic endeavors.
In the recent Sinulog-Santo Nino Festival in Cebu, Angkas provided attendees with free and reliable rides and also participated in several events and was also one of the main sponsors of the festivities.
“That’s the Angkas way, a dependable but affordable ride for everybody,” Medrana
