Haresco Offers 100,000 Pesos Reward for Information in Boracay Rape-Slay Case
Boracay, Aklan – Congressman Teodorico Haresco, Jr. of Aklan’s Second District has offered a 100,000 pesos reward for any information leading to the identification of the perpetrators involved in the brutal murder of a Slovakian tourist in Boracay.
The congressman met with law enforcement officials over the weekend to get updates on the investigation. Police have identified two persons of interest and are investigating a possible third suspect. They are awaiting the official Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) report, including DNA results from evidence collected at the crime scene.
Haresco expressed his commitment to working closely and extending financial assistance to law enforcement in Boracay to expedite the investigation and bring the perpetrators to justice.
“This is a devastating blow to our tourism industry,” stated Congressman Haresco. “We must act swiftly and decisively to address this issue and restore public trust. We need to reassure tourists that Boracay is a safe place. We will do everything in our power together with our local officials in Boracay and Malay and national agencies concerned to prevent such incidents from happening again.”
